Moving towards pre-qualification in the investment process.THK is planning to synchronize the investment process in Shreveport with teh music industry locally/regionally; a Battle of the Bands is happening - the winner gets a song on the movie soundtrack!There are 2 phases of the contest: A web vote to narrow down the pre-winners; they then go to the LIVE show event for final judging.The website is up in its beginning stages:

Rebekah Reed and Tabitha Reed - 2 of our wonderful PA's from the Hurting Kind promo shoots are back to help us out again in pre-production. They've assisted in trying to locate Cleveland Rodgers for an editing issue we're having.

News: TNC Shreveport has officially formed the LLC, and serious fundraising is on the horizon. THK's writer Duane P. Craig, has just screened his new unique horror feature, the silent scarefest, "Cruel", at Minnesota's 3rd annual CRYPTICON horror convention. Congrats, Craig!

Never fear! Delays will never stop this film! Another editor has joined the ranks, and is also acting in the promo.Walt Hollis, you rock!The LLC is going through its first stages - which means fundraising as a reality will being soon. In this economy, its a challenge - but only the best rise to the top, and thisstory is the cream of the crop.Needless to say, however, it looks like 2009 for The Hurting Kind to begin dishing out pain. THK experienced a delay this summer - but that's okay - it gave me time to reflect on how we can deliver an even better top quality fear-drenched blood-strewn psychological horror movie... which will definitely have us all clamoring for the 2 sequels, provided you like the film after its release. Torture chair prop is secure. Live trailer shoot is now a go; prep/planning stage. 1st order of business:Local CREW needed (from Shreveport/Bossier City regional area; Ark-LA-Tex) ) 1 day shoot. Finally saw our potential prop/setpiece for THK! Its a doosey of a torture chair - one you wouldn't expect, but the type you may have felt tortured in at some time in the past, and had to pay for it! If we decide to go for it, we'll use is for our promo trailer. We'll shoot that live, and release it on the THK sites first! (for surprise sake, I have to hold back the pics for now)...
